Mike Whitmire, CPA, is the CEO and co-founder of FloQast, an accounting transformation platform built by accountants, for accountants. After experiencing inefficiencies in traditional accounting workflows early in his career, he launched FloQast in 2013 to streamline and automate processes like the month-end close. Now in its 11th year, FloQast has surpassed $100 million in annual recurring revenue and serves over 3,000 accounting teams, including Twilio, Zoom, Snowflake and the Los Angeles Lakers. In the past year, the company introduced the FloQast Accounting Transformation Platform with AI-driven tools like Journal Entry Management and Transaction Matching, and achieved ISO 42001 certification, highlighting its leadership in AI governance. FloQast also raised $100 million in Series E funding, reaching a $1.6-billion valuation. A Syracuse University graduate, Whitmire emphasizes diversity and inclusion through employee resource groups and community partnerships, including with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles.
