General Counsel

Chris Miller is the general counsel of NBCUniversal Studio Group, overseeing all legal matters related to the development, production, marketing, and distribution of content across various platforms. He collaborates closely with NBCUniversal’s legal divisions, including litigation, intellectual property and compliance. Before his current role, he served as the general counsel of Universal Filmed Entertainment Group and held the position of senior vice president and deputy general counsel after the 2016 acquisition of Dream-Works Animation. He has also worked as vice president and associate general counsel at MGM Studios and began his career as a litigator at Sheppard Mullin, Akin Gump and Troop Steuber. Passionate about protecting creative content, Miller sits on the board of directors of the Motion Picture Association and is a member of the executive committee of the Boston University Law Alumni Association. He earned his Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law, a Master of Science from Boston University College of Communication and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California.
