JLL has announced that it has expanded its Southern California office brokerage business. The firm has hired 10-year Los Angeles commercial real estate veteran Blake Olson as senior vice president. He will specialize in helping office tenants with their leasing needs in Southern California, with a focus on West Los Angeles. Olson joins JLL with nearly 10 years of experience in office brokerage in Los Angeles. Most recently, he served as principal for a global commercial real estate firm where he advised companies in Los Angeles and across the country with a variety of complex transactions.

Samuel Roseme
Joins Reed Smith as a Partner
Global law firm Reed Smith has announced that Sam Roseme has joined the firm as a partner in its entertainment & media industry group, based in Century City. He brings nearly two decades of experience representing clients in the film, television and music industries. Roseme focuses his practice on high-level transactional work in the entertainment industry, including representing studios, networks, production companies, directors, writers and talent. He handles mergers and acquisitions of production companies, development and financing agreements, licensing and distribution deals, rights acquisitions, and corporate matters for clients across the entertainment
spectrum. He has served as counsel on biopics for high-profile
celebrities, Broadway productions and a wide variety of film and TV
projects.

Weil has announced that Chris Manderson, a veteran dealmaker and
corporate advisor with more than two decades of experience, has joined
the firm as a corporate partner in its Century City office. His arrival
deepens the capabilities of the firm’s highly regarded corporate
department and supports Glaser Weil’s focus on mergers and acquisitions,
capital markets and general corporate representation. Manderson brings
significant experience advising public and private companies, private
equity investors and entrepreneurs on high-stakes M&A transactions,
debt and equity fundraising, and distressed transactions. He has served
as both outside and in-house counsel, including as EVP and general
counsel of a NASDAQ-listed company, giving him a unique perspective at
the intersection of law, business and finance.

Hires Daniel DeSantis as West Coast Partner
Morgan
& Morgan has announced that Daniel DeSantis has joined the firm as
West Coast partner in the Los Angeles office. He will primarily handle
catastrophic cases
resulting from motor vehicle collisions and general negligence. In his
career, he has obtained jury verdicts totaling over $20 million and
recovered more than $250 million in settlements for his clients.
DeSantis also serves on the Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles (CAALA)
Board of Governors.

Names Wendy Young, Ph.D. to Board of Directors
