The Glendora Library’s main floor and Children’s Room are scheduled to undergo carpet replacement.
As a result, the library will be closed during the installation beginning on July 28. The anticipated reopening is expected on Aug. 18.
Materials will be due either before or after the closure, and checkouts will be unavailable during that time.
Limited information service will be available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, by calling 626-852-4891. Questions may also be sent by e-mail to library@ glendoralibrary.org. Staff will respond to inquiries within two business days. All electronic resources will be available 24 hours a day with a library card number and PIN.
The library’s online catalog will be accessible for patrons to review the status of their accounts. However, holds and interlibrary loan services will not be available.
Also during the closure, library materials can be returned to one of the book drops or in the lower lobby of the library. The lower lobby, however, may be closed intermittently.
Meanwhile, Bidwell Forum will be available for regularly scheduled events, and the Friends Book Loft will remain open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, on the second level of the library.
The August Super 8-Day Sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Aug. 1-7, in the Bidwell Forum.
