Here are some questions to help assess whether you qualify for the Residential Landscape Retrofit program offered by local water agencies.

• Do you have an existing indoor or outdoor automated sprinkler controller?

• Is the controller connected to the irrigation valves?

• Is your irrigation system working now?

• Are you in the top 10 percent of your water retailer’s customer base?

• Are you living on a quarter-acre or larger?

The Residential Landscape Retrofit program provides outdoor irrigation evaluations and retrofits of landscaping devices for residential customers who have been identified within the top 10 percent of the participating retail water providers’ customer base.

Devices include weather-based irrigation controllers and high-efficiency sprinkler nozzles.

Qualifying areas include the cities of Chino, Chino Hills, Ontario, Upland and the service areas of Cucamonga Valley Water District, Fontana Water Company, Monte Vista Water District and San Antonio Water Company.

For more information or to see if you qualify, contact your local water retailer.
