Chino Valley Medical Center is excited to announce the launch of its new Patients on Board program.

The hospital is one of only 11 in California — and the only one locally — selected by the Hospital Quality Institute to participate in building the new initiative.

Patients on Board is an action-oriented collaborative program intended to provide patients and their families with a behind-thescenes look into hospital processes and a meaningful opportunity to impact those processes and improve patient care.

Chino Valley Medical Center is actively recruiting Patient-Family Advisors, or PFAs, for this important new venture. As patient advisors to the hospital, PFAs will participate in a wide variety of projects and help CVMC identify areas of improvement for processes, protocols, policies and patient care. Applications to join Patients on Board as Patient-Family Advisors can be found on the hospital’s website, www.cvmc.com.

“PFAs will enable us to see all we do through the eyes of our patients,” said Sue Montoya-Bell, director of case management. “They will become an integral part of our CVMC team and help us achieve better patient care and increased patient satisfaction.”

Patients on Board is another example of Chino Valley Medical Center’s ongoing commitment to improve the quality of care for patients, families and the community.
