
Sandra Forney, owner of Impressions Gourmet Catering, won the 2015 Businesswoman of the Year Award at the recent National Association of Women Business Owners, Inland Empire (NAWBO-IE) Amazing Women Event.
The annual event honors exceptional women business owners and community leaders in the Inland Empire and presents scholarships to deserving female students. Award recipients included: Rachel Bollin, founder of B&N Laundry (Rising Star Award) Tonja Smith, founder of Redeeming Hearts (Community Bridge Builder Award)
Michelle Faraj, owner of Michelle’s Bakery and Tennessee Gardens (Legacy Award) Ivette Barnett, director at VOIT Real Estate (Corporate Entrepreneur Award) Joan Stanford, CEO of Jazzy Pen Communications (ANITA Award)
IE Women’s Education Foundation presented $7,500 in scholarships to the following students:
Hathaiwan “Gift” Vongsuwan, California State University, San Bernardino $2,500 scholarship Carmen Huaman, California State University, San Bernardino $2,250 scholarship Katherine Felix, California State University, San Bernardino $2,250 scholarship Jessica Carter, Roosevelt High School $500 scholarship
