The GFWC/San Gabriel Valley District of Women’s Clubs recently held its 59th Annual Convention at the Radisson Hotel in Ontario.

Activities included a workshop by GFWC/CFWC Women’s History and Resource Chair Kim Plater.

Following the workshop, Rosemary Morabito, San Gabriel Valley District President, called the convention to order.

Toby Kahan, California Federation of Women’s Clubs First Vice President, gave the keynote address.

San Gabriel Valley District First Vice President Patsy Wilson conducted the “Citizen of the Year” recognition for club members and organizational leaders were recognized for service over the past year.

California Federation of Women’s Clubs President Chris Herzog offered a keynote.

SGVD Clubwoman of the Year Chairman Pat Borchard recognized members chosen by their local clubs.

District Chairmen were recognized for their service during the past year and presented their awards in the areas of: Arts, Advocates for Children, Conservation, Home Life, Leadership, Communications & Public Relations, Domestic Violence, Education, Fundraising, International Outreach, Public Issues, Legislation & Public Policy Fundraising, Home Life and Membership.
