The recent three-day Route 66 Cruisin’ Reunion, presented by Greater Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau, generated economy, organizers estimated last week.

The weekend of cruising, contests, live entertainment, fabulous food and revelry attracted more than 212,000 people, with 82,000 on Friday evening; 110,000 on Saturday; and 20,000 on Sunday.

Despite high temperatures attendance surpassed last year by more than 12,000.

More than 1,100 cars registered to participate in Route 66 Cruisin Reunion.

A record was set with the largest audience at Ontario Town Square to see KC and The Sunshine Band on Saturday evening, with more than 6,000 people were in attendance. The show was a celebration to honor the one year anniversary of the venue.
