Helen Storland, one of Glendora’s most civic minded and visible citizens, was recognized recently with Delta Nu’s Community Service Award.

She was honored as “a woman of insight; a lifelong educator and learner; one who encourages and uplifts others as she works alongside of them … Her life is a life of service benefitting all.” This is Helen!

Helen Storland has been a member of Delta Nu since 1975. She has served on numerous committees, as president from 1984-86 and was the Chapter Honoree in 2004 an 2010. 

She currently serves on the Glendora Library Board of Trustees, is a member of the Glendora Community Coordinating Council and has served on the Citrus College Oversight Committee.

Besides Delta Nu she is active in the Glendora Woman’s Club, the California Retired Teachers Association and the American Association of University Women.
