Don Lugo High’s marching band and color guard have been invited to participate in the 2017 Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade, to be Dec. 7, 2017.

The parade in Honolulu, Hawaii commemorates the attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941 which resulted in the deaths of approximately 2,400 Americans, and led to the United States’ entry into World War II.

Don Lugo High Principal Kimberly Cabrera has given the band approval to pursue the invitation, including seeking permission from the Board of Education to travel to Hawaii, Band Director Steve Yanik said.
