We celebrate 2017 and look ahead to exciting local events, including one of my favorites of the year.

The Upland Chamber of Commerce will present “Taste of the I.E.” 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Claremont.

“Taste of the I.E. offers guests premium wines, craft beers and delicious samples from area restaurants and specialty food purveyors,” said Terri Galdo, chamber operations manager.

“Enjoy a night of music and dancing in a traditional Monte Carlo Club lounge atmosphere, all included in the cost of attendance.”

Participants include

Nuno’s Bistro & Bar; Paul Mar tin’s American Grill; The Orchard at DoubleTree by Hilton Claremont; Gold Standard Catering; Felipe’s Catering; Grizzly’s Biscuits & Donuts; Vom Fass Claremont; Dragon Tale Brewery; LA County Fair Medal-winning Wines; Pacific Wine Merchants Upland; Rök House Brewing Company Upland; Charlie’s Beer Company, and Galleano Winery Cucamonga Valley.

“This is a wonderful event and a great opportunity to meet new people and have fun. I hope to see you there,” said Debbie Stone, Upland mayor and longtime chamber member.

Sponsors include Madole & Associates, Inc.; Ford of Upland; Inland Productivity Solutions; Right at Home; Prospect Mortgage; La Villa Bella Upland; True Emotions Photography; Carden Arbor School; Pacific Auto & Leasing; Mountain View Chevrolet, and Angel Care Community Services.

Tickets are $75 per adult and available at the chamber office 215 N. 2nd Ave., Suite D, Upland. Sponsorship opportunities are available. For more information call (909) 204-4465 or visit Eventbrite.com.

DoubleTree by Hilton Claremont is located at 555 W. Foothill Blvd. in Claremont. Evening wear is suggested for the event.

This event supports LA County Fair Yellow Bus Program for Kids; Upland Fallen Officer Memorial; Haynes Family of Programs, Upland Literacy Program; Samantha Bosco – USA Olympian 2016, and the Children’s Christmas Bike Give Away.

The chamber serves as voice of the business community, a public relations arm of the City of Upland, and Upland’s “front door” for reliable information for business and residential relocation to Upland.
