The Chino Hills Healthy Hills Steering Committee recently coordinated the city’s 19th annual “Celebrate the Family” Poster and Essay Writing Contest. The contest is open to kids in kindergarten through 12th grade who live or attend school in Chino Hills. Contestants submitted 834 entries this year. The artwork and essay entries reflected the theme “The Hero in My Family is…” Loving Savior of the Hills Lutheran School submitted a total of 291 entries which resulted in their school being recognized for having the most entries in the contest. Ridge Elementary School had the highest participation in the 3rd and 4th grade category with 110 entries, and in the 5th and 6th grade category with 115 entries.
