On Memorial Day, Monday, May 29, Sons of The American Legion Squadron 112 will host a cookout at Ontario American Legion, 310 W. Emporia St. Ontario. The Post will be open from 11 a.m. to 7p.m.

“We invite the public to join us,” said Squadron 112 First Vice Commander, and Ontario City Council member Jim Bowman. “Come enjoy lunch, join in the comradery, and share your memories of departed loved ones who served in the Armed Forces.”

Yesterday, Ontario American Legion Post 112 placed crosses at one of the Veteran’s sections at Ontario’s Bellevue Memorial Cemetery.

The Post, along with help from local Scout troops, has been honoring our departed Veterans in this manner for decades, and it’s a very moving experience for all involved.
