The La Verne Heritage Foundation has opened the annual Orange Picking at Heritage Park.

The orchard will be open to the public 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays until approximately the beginning of March.

Oranges and other citrus fruit are $5 a bag, and mesh bags and picking poles are supplied.

The Foundation is pleased to present “the best tasting navel oranges around, as well as sweet pink grapefruits.”

The Weber House, built in the 1800s, will be open for tours from 10 a.m. to noon. The site is at 5001 Via De Mansion, La Verne. More information about the Foundation can be found at www.laverneheritage.org or email at admin@laverneheritage.org.
