Dr. Mac Wolfe, a 1995 graduate of Ontario High School with 17 years in the Chaffey Joint Union High School District, is Etiwanda High School’s newest principal.
He will succeed retiring Etiwanda Principal Don Jaramillo, who has held the position for the past six years.
“Mr. Jaramillo has done a marvelous job of moving this school forward,” said Wolfe, a former teacher and coach and current assistant. “I want to build on our reputation and promote the great things we’re doing in the classroom and outside the classroom.”
Wolfe’s appointment comes as Etiwanda is about to unveil its new 98,000-squarefoot education center that will include 50 classrooms in four separate wings, all flanking an 800-seat auditorium.
The state-of-the-art center, which will open in time for the 2019-2020 academic year, features five science labs and classrooms for general instruction, world languages and the arts.
“It’s a good time to be an Etiwanda Eagle,” Wolfe said.
