Dressed in the fashion of the fifties, the Glendora Kiwaniannes celebrated 35 years of service to the community in April.

“Every year we celebrate our founding in April 1984 and honor our charter members,” said Kandy Nunn, who serves as president of the club this year.

Charter members Cathy Napoli and Jan White attended and reminisced about the club’s formation. All past presidents who attended the event were also recognized.

Linda Price was celebrated with a Legion of Honor Award for having been a member of the club for 25 years. Becky Harris and Karen Kobus were honored for their service to the club with a Distinguished Service Award. Both women co-chaired last fall’s Designer Bag Bingo event, which raised funds for projects.

“We support many groups in Glendora,” Nunn said. “And for the past seven years we’ve sponsored a Leadership Academy for junior high children to help them learn leadership skills.”
