
Friends of the Covina Public Library annual Fall Book & Bake Sale will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 in the Library Community Room, with a pre-sale for members from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
The Library, at 234 N. 2nd Avenue in Covina, and is a true community resource, serving members of the public from many Foothills communities in Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties.
The public is invited to the Fall event, just before Halloween, to socialize, peruse and purchase books, DVDs, and magazines, and enjoy donated homemade baked goods and coffee.
Azusa Rotary Club will present the annual Field of Glory, and featuring hundreds of U.S. flags, Sept. 7 through Sept. 11, on the front lawn of the Azusa City Hall. The event honors all first responders, veterans, and active service members.
Opening day events will be 8 a.m. to and 1 p.m. Sept. 7, and include pancake breakfast, opening ceremony, various exhibitors, military and first responder vehicles, and various dignitaries.
Citrus Valley Associations of Realtors will offer a public forum on homelessness, 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 5, at the CVAR office, 504 E. Route 66, Glendora. The Homeless Solutions Summit features community leaders and experts working the problem, with the theme “solving homelessness helps solve the housing crisis.”
The event will be livestreamed at CVAR’s offices in Rancho Cucamonga and El Monte. To register, see education calendar, www.cvar.net.
Claremont Village Ghost Walk tickets are available at Bert and Rocky’s Cream Company, 242 Yale Ave. The 6th Annual Claremont Village Ghost Walk Tour will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11 and Saturday, Oct. 12, and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday Oct. 13.
This family-friendly walking tour departs every half-hour from the Gypsy Caravan, across from the Claremont Post Office, at 141 Harvard Ave, Claremont Village. Children under 17 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
