FOOTHILLS CALENDAR HIGHLIGHTS
Day of event tickets will be sold beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Bellevue Memorial Park, with the tour to begin at 10:15 a.m. Tickets are $10 for Ontario Heritage Members, $15 for non-members, and children 12 and under without charge..

Did you go? Ontario Town Square’s big Summer 2019
Wednesdays and Fridays from May 29 through Aug. 21, the square hosted 13 Summer Concerts and 10 movies, organized by the City of Ontario Recreation & Community Services. The Southland Symphony Orchestra and the Ontario Chaffey Community Show Band took the stage to perform.

Coming up: St. Dorothy’s 40th Festival, Oct. 18-20
St. Dorothy’s 40th Oak Tree Festival will be Oct. 18-20 at the church, 241 South Valley Center Ave., Glendora. Festivities include great food and drinks, carnival rides, games, beer garden, wine tasting, live concert series, sports bar, cash raffle, bingo and much more.

Seven CVUSD students named National Merit Semifinalists
Approximately 16,000 students enrolled at 21,000 high schools nationwide have been selected as semifinalists. From this pool, an estimated 15,000 will be elected as National Merit Scholarship Finalists and will compete for 7,600 scholarships worth more than $31 million.

Ontario Airport: Rideshare, shuttle and parking update
Uber announced plans to stop serving Ontario airport following a $1 increase in the fee for each pick-up and drop-off. The higher fee went into effect July 1. In August, Uber notified the Ontario officials of the decision to stop its Ontario airport operations.

RC Founders Parade: Applications accepted
The City encourages businesses, schools, youth groups and other organizations to submit parade entry applications to participate in the Founders Day Community Parade. There is no entrance fee for nonprofit community organizations, and a minimal entry fee of $50 for all commercial business entries.
