Seven CVUSD students named National Merit SemifinalistsApproximately 16,000 students enrolled at 21,000 high schools nationwide have been selected as semifinalists. From this pool, an estimated 15,000 will be elected as National Merit Scholarship Finalists and will compete for 7,600 scholarships worth more than $31 million.  Ontario Airport: Rideshare, shuttle and parking updateUber announced plans to stop serving Ontario airport following a $1 increase in the fee for each pick-up and drop-off. The higher fee went into effect July 1. In August, Uber notified the Ontario officials of the decision to stop its Ontario airport operations. Loading comments... ‘Under the Influence,’ art exhibit at Citrus College “Under the Influence,” an art exhibition sponsored by the Citrus College Foundation, features pieces created by 21 Citrus College art instructors and includes media ranging from ceramics to digital storytelling. According to Dyane Duffy, the Citrus College faculty member who organized the show, the goal is to inspire current Citrus College students to produce their own works of art. The work can be viewed exhibit until Thursday, Oct. 3, by appointment or from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, in the Citrus College Visual Arts Building Art Gallery. |
