Claremont Museum of Art will host the 16th Annual Padua Hills Art Fiesta, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3 at the Padua Hills Theatre. The event includes outdoor art show, exhibition and film, craft demonstrations, music and festive foods.

Visitors can shop for unique original artwork as they stroll through the beautiful olive groves of the Padua Hills Theatre. The exhibition and film, Paul Soldner: Playing with Fire, will feature one of Claremont’s best-known ceramic artists.

Padua Hills Theatre is located at 4467 Padua Ave., Claremont. A free shuttle is available from Padua Park.

Windsong Southland Chorale, under Founder/ Director, Dr. Janet Harms, will open its Silver Jubilee 25th Season at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27 at La Verne Heights Presbyterian Church, 1040 Baseline Ave., La Verne.

Celebrating Autumn Inspiration, Voices, Bells and Brass, many of the hymns are by Mark Wilberg, Conductor of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

The Bells of Windsong, led by Joan Hamm, will perform Breathe by Marie Barnet and Beside Still Waters by Howard Stark. In addition, the Canyon City Brass, under the direction of Mike Edwards will perform Little Fugue in g minor by J. S. Bach, and Nimrod, from the Enigma Variations by Edward Elgar.

The Bells and Brass are affiliate groups of Windsong.

Crossroads Inc. is supporting a global effort to provide shoes to nearly 1 billion people who lack a basic necessity for health and daily life.

Through Oct. 30, shoes can be brought to Crossroads at 1269 Harvard Ave., Claremont, and left by the big red doors at the end of the driveway. If you need a receipt for tax purposes, please be sure to leave your name and address each bag of donations.

Footwear is sent to micro-entrepreneurs and organizations in developing nations where they can be resold and repurposed. Crossroads Inc. receives funds based on how many shoes are collected.

Since 1974, the mission of Crossroads is to provide housing, education, support, counseling, and employment training in a homelike environment for women who have been incarcerated, building skills toward selfsufficiency.
