Ahead of major construction starting late this summer, the Construction Authority this month held community open house events to help residents learn about the Metro Gold Line project - and to meet station artists and discuss the public artwork planned for their station.

The Glendora to Montclair project will extend Metro Gold Line service to the cities of Glendora, San Dimas, La Verne, Pomona, Claremont and Montclair.

As part of his planned public artwork for the future Pomona Gold Line station, entitled “The Power of Pomona is People,” station artist Stephen Farley is seeking public submissions of names, photos and stories of past and present Pomona residents who have made a difference in people’s lives.
