My father-in-law Carl Casella (Messina, Cicily) and Sons (Joseph A. Casella) shipped wine grapes harvesting them from local wine grape growers in the Cucamonga Valley for many years. He had three crews who picked the vineyards of vineyard owners DiAmbrogio, Dippolito and other vineyard owners. The grapes were shipped to markets in Canada, Boston and Florida and sold at markets where winemakers bought the grapes. It was a risky but lucrative business. I served as bookkeeper assistant and once a week tallied each workers' number of boxes picked for that was how they were paid. I willnpost a few photos of family members in the vineyards.
