Planes of Fame Air Show tickets may be refunded, transferred to the Sept. 26 VintageFest, or funds can be donated to the museum for its support during challenging times.

The first annual VintageFest will be the largest Living History Event of the year and will feature outstanding aircraft fly-bys.

Planes of Fame museum will be closed until at least Monday, April 6. All public events are canceled through the end of April to respond to the need for social distancing.

Planes of Fame is postponing all museum gatherings until future notice including Living History Flying Days, Kilroy Coffee Klatch meetings, group tours, and volunteer work days.

The Planes of Fame volunteer program is on hold until further notice.

LOS ANGELES COUNTY

By executive order, Los Angeles County prohibits all public and private group events and gatherings anywhere within the county.

All persons are to remain in their homes or at their place of residence except to travel to and from Essential Businesses, to work at or provide service to a Healthcare Operation or Essential Infrastructure, to engage in Essential Activities, or to participate in an individual or family outdoor activity, while practicing social distancing.

Essential businesses shall enforce social distancing measures by requiring members of the public to be separated by at least six feet from others.

Closed are nonessential retail businesses, indoor malls and indoor shopping centers and indoor and outdoor playgrounds for children. People may still visit parks but they may not use playground equipment.

Also closed: Flea markets and swap meets, bars and nightclubs, gyms and fitness centers, movie theaters, drive-In theaters, live Performance theaters, concert halls, arenas and stadiums, bowling alleys and arcades, wineries, breweries, and tap rooms that provide tastings.

SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY

The County’s Acting

Health Officer ordered the cancellation of private and public gatherings of any number of people within the county through at least April 6. Services for the following County departments and offices will be available only by phone and online.

Offices will be closed to the public:

• Agriculture/Weights & Measures, Assessor-Recorder-Clerk, Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector, Child Support Services, Children’s Network, Clerk of the Board of Supervisors; Community Development and Housing Agency, County Fire and Fire Marshal.

• And, District Attorney, Economic Development, Human Resources, Inland Counties Emergency Medical Agency (ICEMA), Land Use Services, which includes Planning, Building and Safety, and Code Enforcement.

• And, Public Works, with the exception of lobby computer access to surveyor records, Purchasing, Registrar of Voters, with the exception of election observers by appointment only, and Risk Management.

• And, Special Districts Water and Sanitation, Transitional Assistance and Veterans Affairs; and Workforce Development, however, in-person appointments will be conducted when necessary.

The following County attractions and services are closed to the public until at least April 3:

• Big Bear Alpine Zoo at Moonridge

• County branch libraries

• County museums and historical sites

• County Regional Parks, including Calico Ghost Town

• Park and recreation district preschool in Joshua Tree

CLAREMONT MUSEUM OF ART

The Claremont

Museum of Art has will be closed through April 30 to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

The current exhibition, Vanguard: Origins of Tierra del Sol Arts in Claremont featuring Helen Rae, is closing sooner than scheduled and the upcoming StART It Up student exhibition will not take place this year.

The exhibition Furious Garden, with new works by Karen Kitchel, Deena Capparelli and Cj Jilek, was scheduled to open on May 2. These plans will be reevaluated as public health guidelines unfold.

In the meantime, CMA is posting videos and art activity resources on social media.

DIAMOND BAR FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY

The new book discussion group, the Four Seasons, tentatively is scheduled for June 18.

Rancho Cucamonga

City Council has issued a temporary moratorium on evictions for non-payment of rent by residential or commercial tenants impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The City Council also officially declared a local emergency in response to COVID-19.

The eviction moratorium applies only to evictions based on the nonpayment of rent due to a financial hardship related to the COVID-19 pandemic. A tenant must notify the landlord within 30 days after the rent is due and provide supporting documentation.

The moratorium will last through May 31 for residential tenants and April 30 for commercial tenants unless the City’s emergency declaration ends sooner. The City Council will review the commercial tenant moratorium again at the April 15 council meeting.

Way and United Way of the Inland Valleys have established the Inland SoCal COVID-19 Fund to respond to the needs of Inland SoCal residents affected by the pandemic.

United Way will not assess an administrative fee to any money raised toward this effort.

Funds raised will:

• Support the technology infrastructure of local 211 service providers to be able to continue operations.

• Support The Direct Assistance Fund used to meet basic needs of families most affected by the economic effects of the COVID-19 spread prevention measures, such as assistance with rent, housing, food, utilities, healthcare costs, or unpaid sick time.

Residents can dial 2-1-1 at any time to hear the latest information about COVID-19. Callers are also able to get referrals for local services including food, shelter, and other health related issues.
