I recently visited Cara Mia, Cask ‘n Cleaver and Nuno’s and learned that all have undertaken required safety for dine-in guests and staff, including distancing tables, reduced occupancy, increased cleaning and disinfecting procedures throughout their facilities.

Summer housing heat
We are now seeing signs of life in new listings coming on the market, along with multiple offers on prime properties. Hours spent sheltering in place together the past few months in a home too small for comfortable work at home spaces may have motivated some homeowners to find a better fit as soon as possible.

Don’t delay health: Be seen for urgent, routine care
Emergency room physicians know there are patients who may be experiencing signs of a serious non- COVID medical condition, but are reluctant to go to the ER during the pandemic. If you have chest pain, shortness of breath, signs of a stroke, or another medical emergency, don’t delay.

Ontario International Airport schedules improve in June
According to current airline schedules, ONT will have an average 37 daily departures in June, a decrease of 46% compared with last June, yet a significant improvement over the 24 daily departures scheduled in May.

Chaffey 2020: Record 6,400 Degrees and Certificates
Students instead participated in a “Grad Fest” drive-thru event on May 20 at all three campuses, where they were greeted by faculty and staff and received a “grad bag” containing a graduation hat and tassel, as well as other commemorative items. Numerous graduation activities also took place during Zoom conferences.

Pomona Hospital resumes elective medical services
Strict hand-hygiene measures and physical distancing are observed. Associates and Physicians in clinical areas are required to wear masks at all times. Patients also must wear a cloth face covering or mask. Amask will be provided for patients arriving without one.

Chaffey High’s Jorge Guzman earns $10,000 Promise scholarship
“When I first received the news, I was very surprised and happy. I never really win things but this time I won big. I was struggling to figure out how I would cover the cost of college but this solves all of my problems,” said Guzman. “I’m extremely thankful to be given this scholarship and plan to make the best of it.
