About Us
The need for our services has never been greater as the number of people who are blind or visually impaired is expected to double in the U.S. to eight million over the next two decades.
The generosity of our donors allows our services to remain FREE of charge and nearly all funding of our programs and services is from private donations.
Our award-winning Braille Institute Library offers more than 1.4 million books in audio, braille, and large-print format, for those who are visually impaired or physically disabled.
While our centers remain temporarily closed due to COVID-19, we are providing services remotely by phone or video call to enable individuals to participate from the comfort and safety of their homes.
