About Us

Dreams for Schools (DFS) inspires and educates students to be STEM and Computer Science literate with the hard and soft skills needed to become the critical thinkers, creative leaders, and technologists of tomorrow.

DFS promotes education equity by bridging gaps in STEM, specifically Computer Science, in the classroom and afterschool space for elementary and middle school institutions across Southern California. DFS programs are available through school partners and directly to families throughout the year.

DFS works with a range of community stakeholders from schools, districts, and teachers to provide professional development and offer students exposure to coding, engineering, app development, web development, and technology fields.

In 2019, DFS partnered with 59 schools, serving 903 students, as well as trained and employed 212 instructors recruited from local colleges and universities. In 2020, DFS shifted all programs to virtual instruction and has served more than 1,400 kids.
