Andre´s

The original Andre´s in downtown Vegas is, alas, no longer with us, but Andre´s at Monte Carlo has replicated its exquisite menu and ambiance - thanks, of course, to legendary chef Andre Rochat, who brings 45 years of experience to the table.
Emphasizing the old-world charm that made the first Andre´s so beloved, this AAA four-diamond establishment puts the "gourmet" back in gourmet French cuisine. Food presentation is superb, and selections change seasonally.

Delectable signature items include rack of Colorado lamb with eggplant parmesan and gratin dauphinois; filet of beef au poivre vert with green peppercorn cream suce; and jumbo asparagus hollandaise and Maine lobster thermidor. Indulge in a decadent homemade dessert, or end your meal the French way, with a selection of the finest imported and domestic cheeses.Décor here is divine: turquoise set against pearly white. Gray walls are dotted with artwork and illuminated by candlelight. Enjoy a smoke and a snifter of rare cognac at the cigar lounge on the second floor - the only cigar louge connected to a Strip resort property.

Botero

Vegas isn´t exactly what you´d call a "vegan" kind of town. In fact, it may have more steakhouses per square mile then any city in Texas. Tastes, however, are changing.
Though it´s hard to find a completely vegan eatery in Sin City, a number of high-end restaurants on the Strip have introduced fairly fabulous vegan menus. One of the best can be found at Botero, a modern steakhouse at Encore. And while this romantic spot clearly caters to carnivores, the collaboration between rising culinary star Mark LoRusso and vegan celebrity chef and cookbook author Tal Ronnen has resulted in tasty selections for the non-meat-eaters among us.

Choose from starters such as rich kabocha squash and fennel soup or creamy cauliflower hummus; an entrée of quinoa pasta or crispy tofu and avocado; and sweet and tangy desserts like pineapple-and-mango carpaccio or seasonal berry cobbler. Can´t decide? Try the five-course vegan tasting menu.

Lemongrass

Sitting humbly across from Aria´s baccarat tables, Lemongrass is a lot more low-key than many of its celebrity-chef-helmed neighboors. The space, designed by James Beard Award-winner Avroko, is lovely and serene, meant to look like a traditional Thai silk factory and adorned with lush fabrics, dark wooden tables and a wall of creamy green stone.
Chef Krairit krairavee has designed an authentic yet sophisticated menu, with spices straight from Thailand and pitch-perfect renditions of traditional favorites alongside the best of contemporary Bangkok. Sample classics such as spicy and smooth green curry or fabulous tom kha gai (coconut chicken soup) - or get more adventurous with yam nuea yang, grilled beef salad with grape and mint.
