
Every Saturday morning hundreds of car enthusiasts congregate at SPEEDVEGAS for the weekend pop-up attraction, Cars and Coffee, a nationwide club with 15 chapters. In Las Vegas, the weekly early morning event attracts between 600 and 1,000 car aficionados with more than 250 cars typically on display. Admission is free, with breakfast and coffee available for purchase. The Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art on the University of Nevada, Las Vegas campus is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The “Fifty Years” lobby display incorporates newspaper clippings and artifacts exploring the museum’s genesis from a modest building to its current incarnation as a principal contemporary art venue. Current displays include “Process” in the Main Gallery; the “Masking” exhibition in the Braunstein Gallery; and “Abandon All Hope, Ye Who Enter Here” in the Teaching Gallery.
