…TO SEE PAULA ABDUL SHINE DURING HER BRAND-NEW VEGAS RESIDENCY

Paula Abdul is proving once again that she’s “Forever Your Girl” with her new residency at the Flamingo Las Vegas.
The new show highlights the Grammy winner’s 30 year career, with behind-the-scenes stories about her time as a Laker girl to her meteoric rise to pop star and “American Idol” judge.

According to Abdul, she hadn’t actually contemplated a residency until Caesars Entertainment approached her a year ago. “It’s like the timing was perfect,” the singer told the Vegas Guide exclusively. “In the past, it’s never been right, either with television or other responsibilities Ihad.”

But when the time came to planning her show, Abdul knew exactly who to consult for advice: fellow icon and friend Janet Jackson, who wrapped up her Vegas residency “Metamorphosis” in August.

“Janetsaid, ‘Always remember the first beginnings of what you’re trying to accomplish because it happens so quickly,’” Abdul recalled.
“Document as much as you can because those bursts that you experience are extremely special and critical in order for you to maintain gratitude for your accomplishments.”

Those words of wisdom have now translated into a spunky two-hour extravaganza comprised of 10 costume changes and, of course, lots of dancing!
“It’s my classic iconic choreography,” beamed Abdul.
She worked with Emmy Award-winners Nappytabs for months,inorder to give her famous routines an update, incorporating both contemporary and jazz dance.

“My dancers tell me, ‘We never get to dance like this.
This is really testing our abilities as a well-rounded dancer,’” Abdul said.
Another thing the multihyphenate is proud of? “The show is authentic to who I am,” Abdul said, “I want people to see what it takes to put a production on like this and to know what it takes, to leave more knowing about me — hopefully leaving with inspiration and hope.”
