During the event Mayor Tsunoda spoke of the many hours volunteered by Dye-Shandrew for city events such as Snow Fest, Community Cup Golf Tournaments and Tax Filing Workshops to name but a few. Dye-Shandrew also serves as a teacher’s aide at Oak Grove Elementary School and serves on the board of directors for the Victoria Community Association.
Volunteering for Dye-Shandrew is truly a labor of love and is something she really enjoys. “Aliso Viejo is a lovely place to live,” she said. “It’s such a progressive city and a fun place to be, I’ve lived here for six years and I really love it here.” As a local Realtor affiliated with Altera Real Estate, Dye-Shandrew and her husband Ed Shandrew both have over 30 years of history in helping multitudes of people make the transition from one
There’s an old adage that says “if you want to get something done – ask a busy person,” and you might say real estate agent Judy Dye-Shandrew epitomizes that sentiment. In addition to being a very busy real estate agent, Dye-Shandrew is an avid volunteer and she loves to give back to the Aliso Viejo community where she lives and works. home to another. The Shandrew’s and the rest of the Dye real estate team specialize in residential real estate and it’s no secret that Dye-Shandrew loves to share the joys of South County living with her clients, and in particular her love of the city she now calls home – Aliso Viejo.
The Shandrews recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary, and it’s the only number Dye-Shandrew will fess up to. Despite her new title, Senior of the Year, she’s much too busy and vivacious to think of herself as a senior. “Age is a state of mind, I don’t think of myself as a senior – Aliso Viejo is a youthful and vibrant city filled with young-at-heart people like myself – that’s why it’s so much fun to live and work here,” Dye-Shandrew said.
