At Ricci Realty’s October meeting agents gathered to decide what worth while charity should benefit from their annual food drive. Mary Ann Grainger, a long term Ricci Realty agent, suggested the Project Hope School in the city of Orange. This school helps give children of Orange County, who either live in local motels or are homeless, a chance to continue their education.

As soon as the agents agreed, they knew what they needed to do. Fliers were designed by Apex Studios, and Trader Joe’s generously donated paper bags. Al Ricci, Lisa Blanc, Doug Wilitis and Grainger made sure that all of their farm areas were given the chance to be included in Ricci Realty’s Annual Food Drive.

November 13 was the big pick up and drop off food deadline. More than 250 bags were collected, thanks to the generous residents of Orange.

Before Project Hope’s annual Thanksgiving Feast, Grainger and a few fabulous volunteers delivered the food collected, and also made Thanksgiving food boxes.

At the feast, students and their families enjoyed a fantastic meal, a DJ, dancing, and the Ricci Realty trolley stopped by. And best of all, there were enough food boxes for any family who needed to make a Thanksgiving meal.

The appreciation on the faces of these children and their families is the reasons why Ricci Realty is so proud of being such a large part of the Orange community.
