While I was serving my country in Iraq, my agent was busy making my dream of buying a home come true.

hile deployed in Iraq, I often imagined the day I would return to California. I wanted the American Dream, to own my own home. For this reason, with only two days left of my holiday leave, my agent and I looked for a house. She helped me find the perfect one, and it had been preapproved for a VA loan. She submitted my offer as I headed back to Iraq, then handled everything for me so I could focus on serving my country. Buying a home from so far away was stressful at times, but I knew she’d get the job done.
