THE NEXT GENERATION OF REAL ESTATE

Of the 62 million Millennials (Generation Y) – those age 18 to 29, the largest generation in U.S. history since the Baby Boomers – it is estimated that 63% have a bachelor’s degree. Unfortunately, after four years of college, many graduates are now only able to find low paying, non-degree jobs as they compete for jobs against older job seekers.

Cameron Merage, CEO and Founder of First Team® Real Estate, has a solution for college graduates looking to make their mark in the world and earn a good income – a career in real estate.

“Millennials have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and many don’t want a ‘cubicle’ job. As a group, they are forward thinking; they’ve seen their parents get laid off from long-time jobs and they want to control their destiny,” Cameron said. He believes a real estate career is a great option for Millennials who have been flocking to free First Team introductory career planning events to evaluate career options.

“Compared to other business ventures, a real estate career entails relatively low start-up costs and with the right training and support, there is no limit to earnings and business growth for the individual with the drive and enthusiasm to succeed,” he said.

First Team offers pre-licensing courses at eight convenient locations throughout Orange County, and the company’s live, two-day crash course given prior to the taking of the state’s license exam has the highest crash course pass rate in California.

“We are elated to consistently have nine out of 10 of students pass,” said Cameron, who noted that the pass rate of test takers who are not adequately prepared is 62%. First Team licensing school enrollment is up 25% this year, driven by a reviving real estate market accelerated by the lowest interest rates in history and increased buyer affordability.

First Team also offers “Power Curve Training,” a live, guided sales training course designed to accelerate new agent growth and development so that they can hit the ground running as soon as they are licensed.
