El PASEO: THE HEART OF SENDERO, FIRST VIllAGE ON THE RANCH
Now
under construction, in a scenic South Orange County valley, is an amenities-rich recreational core designed to foster a sense of social belonging and healthy inter-generational living --- at Sendero, the first mixed-use residential village within the new master-planned ranch community of Rancho Mission Viejo.
Encompassing 23,000 acres in South Orange County, Rancho MissionViejoiscomprisedofmore than 17,000 acres of permanent open space and approximately 6,000 acres of future residential and mixed-use development. The village of Sendero will offer a total of 11 different residential neighborhoods (many offer-
ing single-level homes) by Del Webb, Meritage Homes, Ryland Homes, SeaCountry Homes, Shea Homes, Standard Pacific Homes, TRI Pointe Homes, and William lyon Homes.
Uniting the neighborhoods of Sendero will be El Prado, Sendero’s social and recreational center, and heart of the village. Now taking shape within El Prado is the Guest House, the welcome center for homebuyers and guest. The Guest House will open onto alarge plaza and village green within El Prado which will allow access to either the Ranch House or the Hacienda.
The Ranch House will be open to all residents of Sendero and will provide a clubhouse offering nearly 3,900 square feet of space and encompassing a great room, movie theatre and fitness center overlooking a lushly landscaped patio with swimming pool, spa and grilling/alfresco dining area. Also within the Ranch House will be
a wading pool, children’s water play park, and even asecluded outdoor fireplace with plenty of seating.
The Hacienda will serve as the recreational and social hub of Gavilan, the 55+ enclave
of Sendero. Exclusive only to the residents (and guests) of Gavilan, the Hacienda will feature
an approximately 9,200- square foot clubhouse with fitness center/massage area, the Studio for drawing, painting, crafts and seminars, as well as room for yoga, pilates or dance
classes. Highlight of the Hacienda will be its living room complete with rustic hearth, large
flat-screen TV, bar and covered terrace overlooking a resort-like pool with spa, covered loggias,
and cabanas. The Hacienda also will include bocce courts, fire pit and barbeques with
plenty of seating, and a party garden area for social events and activities.
And, on the eastern edges
of Sendero will be The Outpost, complete with outdoor bar adjacent to a pool and spa with barbeque station and two fire pits, bocce court, outdoor dining space and even a hammock garden.
Additional amenities planned for Sendero include a 15-acre community park, the vegetable and fruit gardens of Sendero Farm, hiking/biking trails accessing Reserve trails and a County Regional hiking and biking trails network, the 10-acre Ranch Marketplace retail plaza, a fire station, and a child day care center.

Sendero is the first of multiple villages planned to be developed on a total of 6,000 acres of The Ranch. Collectively, over the next two decades, these villages are expected to offer 14,000 homes (including 6,000 55+ new-home residences) and up to five million square feet of non-residential uses. In addition, schools, parks and recreational facilities, shopping and employment centers will be developed, as well as an inter connected
system of arterial roadways and hiking/biking trails carefully integrated with some of the Ranch’s agrarian spaces and natural habitat.
