Last weekend marked the start of home sales at Sendero, the first village planned for the new intergenerational, planned community of Rancho Mission Viejo (aka “The Ranch”), situated on the last working ranch in Orange County. during the weekend of June 29-30, Sendero on The Ranch celebrated its public grand opening --- and attracted between 9,000 and 10,000 visitors! Homeshoppers toured the 35 model homes for Sendero’s 11 neighborhoods, crafted by eight different homebuilders. four of Sendero’s neighborhoods offer primarily single story homes for residents age 55+ and are located within the gated 55-plus enclave of gavilan. The eight neighborhood builders at Sendero include del Webb, Meritage Homes, Ryland Homes, Sea- Country Homes, Shea Homes, Standard Pacific Homes, Tri- Pointe Homes, and William Lyon Homes. Home prices currently range from the $300,000s to under $1 million.

of the Ranch House and Outpost clubhouses open to all Sendero residents as well as to the expansive Hacienda clubhouse,exclusive to gavilan residents age 55+. They also experienced the large “all age” village green and the northern and southern alignments of El Paseo, the village’s primary pathways which includes tot lots and playgrounds, picnic areas, bocce ball courts, fire pits, anative plant garden, and even aputting green. Plus, information was provided about Sendero’s future 15-acre community park, the 10-acre Ranch Marketplace retail plaza, the vegetable and fruit gardens of Sendero farm, a fire station, and the network of hiking/biking trails accessing Reserve trails and a County Regional hiking and biking trails system.

Sendero on The Ranch is located just 2.3 miles from downtown San Juan Capistrano and five miles from San Clemente and doheny State Beach, with easy access provided to the employment and retail centers of Ladera Ranch, Mission Viejo, Irvine, Rancho Santa Margarita and other Orange County areas.

Turn right at Sendero, continue straight toward the roundabout and then follow the signs to the guest House. from the northbound I-5, exit Camino Capistrano and imme-

diately turn left. Turn right at San Juan Creek Road and proceed east to La Novia. Turn left at La Novia and then right onto Ortega Highway and enter Rancho Mission Viejo. Turn left at Reata,continue straight into Sendero at the roundabout and follow the signs to the guest House.
