The two-day celebration kicked off with Irvine Mayor Steven Choi and Councilmember Christina Shea joining Five- Point Communities President and CEO Emile Haddad in cutting a ceremonial orange ribbon representing the neighborhood’s signature color. Twoofthe most popular attractions were the greenhouse that is filled with a multitude of colorful and exotic plants, and the uniquely designed tot lot, which features such classic playground equipment as swings, a slide and a teeter-totter. The tot lot and greenhouse are among the highlights of the neighborhood’s centerpiece: a more than 5-acre park that invites a wide range of outdoor activities with a private swimming pool, sport courts, an expansive lawn and an inviting terrace with outdoor fireplace and outdoor kitchen.
