ADRIENNE BRANDES OF SURTERRE PROPERTIES DOMINATES CORONA DEL MAR’S COMPETITIVE MARKETPLACE
Over the last several months, Adrienne Brandes has underscored not only her skill as a seasoned luxury real estate professional, but her expertise with regard to one of the most sophisticated markets in the world: that which inhabits Corona del Mar.
When it comes to prestige and exclusivity, few communities compare to Corona del Mar’s famed Ocean Boulevard, where some of the most exquisite landmark properties in Southern California sit on a bluff overlooking a pristine sandy beach, showcasing never-ending views of the Pacific. Since November 2014, only 5 homes on Ocean Boulevard have been sold. Having overseen three of these transactions, Brandes has deftly illustrated her ability to help clients navigate a particularly complex marketplace, where things move quickly.
“One of my recent sales, 2928 Ocean Boulevard, went on the MLS on day at 2 p.m.,” Brandes remarked. “I knew it was the ideal property for a client of mine who was looking to invest. We put in an offer, and it went into escrow the following day.”
Indeed, the importance of timeliness on Ocean Boulevard is not to be underestimated—it proved instrumental in Brandes’ other recent Ocean Boulevard transactions, too.
“In the case of 3312 Ocean Boulevard, I had a client from Canada who had seen the property online, but simply could not make it to the U.S. to see it in person,” Brandes explained. “Knowing the home would sell quickly, I toured the listing myself and helped the client make the decision to put in an offer.”
Eight days later, the home at 3312 Ocean Boulevard closed escrow—and Brandes’ client decided to also make an offer for the property next door, at 3320, which at the time wasn’t on the MLS.
Since January 2014, Brandes has closed more than $68 million in residential real estate. Currently, she’s also the listing agent for two stunning Corona del Mar properties—one in the $5 million range, and another coming soon in the $9 million range.
