These disciplines will soon be the focus of academic instruction for Rancho Mission Viejo students at Esencia K-8, a new,state-ofthe-art public school now under construction at the hillside village of Esencia.
Part of the Capistrano Unified School District (CUSD), Esencia K-8 is scheduled to open for instruction in August 2018. The 14-acre campus has been designed with numerous leading edge features including an Innovation Center to replace the traditional library as well as technologically advanced classrooms with integrated WiFi, sound and projector systems to create a more dynamic learning experience. Pavilion, an expansive recreational area highlighted by a fully equipped gymnasium as well as adjoining athletic fields,also now under construction at Esencia “Esencia K-8 will be the very first school built on The Ranch – specifically designed to accommodate students from the villages of Sendero and Esencia,” said Dan Kelly, Sr. Vice President of Corporate Communications and Governmental Relations for Rancho Mission Viejo, LLC. “In addition, Esencia K-8 will be the first brand new school built by the District in over a decade.
