The winding road that led Jennifer Halbert to her real estate career is the very thing that has made her so successful. Her versatility and enthusiasm inspired her to pursue a variety of career paths through the years, but she discovered that a job in real estate was perfectly aligned to her goals and talents. Her kindness, dedication, and personal experience with a cross-country move from her home state, Florida, have combined to make her an up-and-coming superstar in Orange County.
Jennifer became licensed over four years ago after moving to Los Angeles to pursue acting. “Between jobs, classes, and auditions, I had some free time, so I decided to get my real estate license,” she says. “I’d always enjoyed the home-buying process, had a knack for interior design, loved architecture, and had negotiating in my blood. It seemed to be the perfect fit.” When Jennifer’s family relocated to Laguna Beach from Florida, she joined them in Orange County. “I’m blessed to have the most amazing, loving, supportive family,” she says. “My parents taught me to be honest and hardworking and to never give up. I have three siblings, six nieces and nephews, and an adorable fur baby of my own.” Her close-knit family is one way she measures her success. “I want my parents to be proud of me.”
Years before she headed west, Jennifer interned at an ad agency. It was there that she realized she wanted to work in the art department. Jennifer recalls, “I went on to study graphic design and earned a certificate
from the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale.” She went on to work in promotions, marketing, customer service, substitute teaching, and more, though she always took an interest in creative and artistic pursuits. “I believe that my diverse background and desire to help people have given me a solid foundation to thrive in my real estate career,” says Jennifer, who knows she has found her forever job. “Real estate has a little bit of everything. The ability to collaborate, be creative, and have the opportunity to market my own business has been very rewarding,” she says. “It’s about meeting and talking to people, building relationships, and finding out what their needs are. You really counsel them.” A recent client, Janet, expressed her gratitude for Jennifer’s warm demeanor. “I can not express how grateful I am to have been able to work with Jennifer Halbert of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices,” says Janet. “I was very nervous about making this big move in my life, but I truly felt like I had a good friend by my side making sure that everything was taken care of and that I was well-protected and satisfied with my decision.”
"My top priority is being there for my clients,” she says. “You never know when someone will need something.” Her dreams for the future involve maintaining the topnotch customer care she’s known for while continuing to make time for personal goals. “I want a team of people working with me who I can trust, who have like-minded goals, and who are as dedicated to clients as I am,” she says. success, she thinks of freedom. “Real estate allows for endless opportunities and infinite possibilities. In addition to my professional goals, I want the freedom to travel the world and have a family of my own.”
Jennifer enjoys abstract painting, acting, drawing, and design, as well as the chance to give back and volunteer; she is an avid supporter of organizations like the ASPCA, PUP Laguna Beach, and other animal welfare organizations, as well as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Boys and Girls Club of Laguna Beach, Chabad of Laguna Beach, El Morro Elementary School, and many more.
