Once again I am humbled and grateful for this honor and I thank all those who have voted for me best of Clergy 2016.

In September, St Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church will celebrate 109 years serving God and the Burbank community.

Our parish mission statement says: “We, the Catholic community of Saint Robert Bellarmine, are called to share as disciples in the mission of Jesus Christ. We strive to maintain a nurturing environment where all are welcome and all can experience God’s love”

This discipleship is evident in the constant activity of volunteers around the parish. Volunteers give generously of their time and talents to the parish ministries and unselfishly give to the community at large.

With more than 20 ministries made up of hundreds of volunteers; from the ‘early-risers’ making breakfast burritos on Sunday morning for the homeless, to the energetic teens who gather for youth night on Wednesday evenings; there are many opportunities for people to serve and use their gifts.

I feel very humbled to work alongside all these wonderful giving people as they help the parish share in the mission of Jesus Christ.
