A few words on behalf of Sandy Talamantes, R.N., B.S.N.

Thank you to all of the readers of the Burbank Leader and to all of Sandy’s patients who took the time to vote this year!

This is Sandy’s 9th consecutive year being voted the “Best Nurse” in Burbank.

She graduated from Burbank High School (we’ll just say “a few” years ago), has been married to her husband Jess for 43 years; has three grown children: Eric, Scott and Kristin; and three grandchildren: Lana, Shane and Lilah., and a fourth on the way!

Sandy has been with Providence St. Joseph Medical Center since June of 1976, and after almost 42 years, she has decided to hang up her stethoscope in the Cardiac Telemetry Unit and join her husband in retirement.

She enjoyed caring for her patients, talking with and educating their families, and working alongside the outstanding doctors and nurses who are all a part of the Providence St. Joseph’s family.

There is no doubt that she would share this honor of “Best Nurse” with every one that she works with, if she could.
