So many things have changed since Dr. Ashley began his dermatology practice here 40 years ago.
But one thing remains constant. He never stops feeling tremendously honored that so many Burbank residents continue to place their trust in him.
In addition to seeing patients here in Burbank, Dr. Ashley remains strongly committed to skin cancer prevention.
At the National Council on Skin Cancer Prevention in Washington, D.C., he originated and continues to help in managing its “Don’t Fry Day” campaign.
He is the founder and president of the nonprofit charity, Sun Safety for Kids, where he has launched a new national program to send medical students out to visit high schools and teach the students about sun protection.
Locally, Dr. Ashley remains on staff at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center. He also serves as a clinical professor on the voluntary faculty at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, where he enjoys the opportunity to teach the medical students and dermatology residents.
“It’s the ladies on my staff who are largely responsible for this award,” says Dr. Ashley. “Each one of them is so dedicated and compassionate. They are absolutely the best!”
