Kate Spelman has “Big Law” and inhouse experience defending some of the country’s largest food and beverage manufacturers from consumer class actions and other claims. With a deep understanding of her client’s unique business pressures, she draws on this experience to work closely with companies – some of the biggest and most popular consumer brands – to craft creative and effective strategies to overcome claims that threaten the integrity of clients’ businesses. After gaining experience as in-house litigation counsel for The Wonderful Company, Spelman rejoined the firm in June 2019 as a partner in the Los Angeles office. She serves as co-chair of the firm’s Consumer Law Practice and is a member of the Complex Commercial Litigation, Class Action and Professional Responsibility practices.
