With more than 100 years of groundbreaking and diverse history already behind it, Inglewood is about to enter the most exciting and dynamic decade of its storied existence. With years of effort and billions of dollars invested into creating the ultimate sports and entertainment destination, the city is poised to become Southern California's focus point as it hosts a slew of landmark events in the 2020s.

While development and innovation are continuing apace, Inglewood has achieved its astonishing transformation over the past decade without compromising the city’s unique character or local culture, and only to the benefit of its longtime residents. By combining inspired urban planning with aggressive measures to retain affordability, Inglewood has simply created a new and more economically sound home for its diverse existing populace.

Inglewood today is a place with an unemployment rate at a 50-year low, more to do during leisure time, higher property values, and improved infrastructure and public safety. It’s where businesses want to be and where residents want to stay.

Inglewood’s thrilling new chapter began, symbolically and literally in 2014, when its legendary Forum arena reopened as a world-class venue after comprehensive refurbishment. Major events and sizeable crowds returned to the city, recapturing the halo effect of the venue’s original heyday in the late 20th century, when it was home to the Lakers. Just as then, the bright lights of the Forum have bathed the community in both prosperity and pride.

Yet the reborn Forum was just the beginning of the new Inglewood. The $5-billion Hollywood Park mega-development, centered upon the sparkling SoFi Stadium, brought not one, but two NFL teams (the Rams and Chargers) to metropolitan L.A. The 300-acre campus with the Stadium at its center also offers tree-lined public parks, varied entertainment options, and vast retail and office space. Soon, the $1.8-billion Intuit Dome will bring the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers, along with additional jobs and indirect economic benefits, to Inglewood.

But don’t take our word for it. Consider that Inglewood has been chosen to host the prestigious opening and closing ceremonies of the 2028 Summer Olympics and Wrestlemania 2023, plus multiple competitive events. Then there’s Super Bowl LVI at SoFi Stadium. All of these will take place in the heart of Inglewood – a thriving city that has held onto that heart.
