David Kramer to succeed Jeremy Zimmer as CEO of UTA in June 2025

Beverly Hills-based global talent, entertainment, sports and advisory company United Talent Agency (UTA) has announced that David Kramer has been appointed CEO of the company, effective June 1, 2025.

As CEO, Kramer will oversee all strategic planning and operations of the company’s global business. Jeremy Zimmer, who has served as CEO since 2012, will partner with Kramer to support UTA’s long-standing planned succession process in the role of executive chairman through the end of 2025 and will continue to serve on the company’s board of directors. Kramer has served as UTA’s president since 2022.

Steven M. Zimmerman Resumes Role as Principal of Los Angeles Office of Jackson Lewis

Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. has announced the addition of principal Steven M. Zimmerman in Los Angeles. He resumes his role as principal after serving as director of labor relations at The Walt Disney Company. His practice focuses on traditional labor law, where he represents clients in the hotel, entertainment, media, distribution and warehousing industries before the National Labor Relations Board and in state and federal courts. Zimmerman has extensive experience in union-management relations, including collective bargaining and advising on the administration of labor agreements.

City National Bank recently announced the appointment of Anthony Di Santi as managing director, head of Corporate Sports Banking. He will lead the bank’s strategic focus on serving the needs of professional teams, leagues, businesses and corporate partners throughout the sports industry.

Di Santi brings more than 30 years of experience and a proven track record of success across the global sports industry, having served as global managing director and global industry lead for Citi’s Sports Investment Banking unit for more than 24 years. Over the course of his career, Di Santi has advised on more than 75 M&A transactions involving major professional sports franchises.

Sidley Adds Partner Jason Mills to Los Angeles Office

Sidley has announced that Jason Mills has joined the firm’s Regulatory and Enforcement group as a partner in the environmental practice in Los Angeles. He joins from Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP, where he co-led the firm’s workplace health and safety practice. Mills, who will be based in Los Angeles, is a United States Marine Corps veteran and trial lawyer. His trial experience extends to both Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) proceedings and high-level employment litigation. On the OSHA front, Mills represents employers in the defense of federal and state citations, including workplace incident response and whistleblower claims.

Banc of California Names Karen Hon Chief Accounting Officer

Banc of California, Inc., the parent company of wholly-owned subsidiary Banc of California, has announced that Karen Hon has joined the company as executive vice president and chief accounting officer. In this role, she oversees all accounting, controllership and financial reporting, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls. She is also a member of the company’s senior management committee, helping to drive operational excellence, business process improvements and enhancements across the bank. Hon has more than 20 years of experience in finance and accounting.

Consumer Product Safety Partner Judith Shophet Sidkoff Joins Sidley’s Century City Office

Sidley has announced that Judith Shophet Sidkoff has joined as a partner in the firm’s litigation practice in Century City as a member of its product liability and mass torts practice. She joins Sidley from Dentons, where she was a partner in both the litigation and dispute resolution and consumer products representation and services practice groups. She joins Sarah Carlson, who recently joined Sidley’s litigation practice. Sidkoff counsels manufacturers, importers, distributors and retailers of consumer products in connection with regulatory matters before and involving the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

AEG Presents Names Andrew Klein President of Global Partnerships

Los Angeles-headquartered AEG Presents, a global leader in live entertainment, has announced that Andrew Klein has been promoted to president of global partnerships. In this role, he will oversee all sales and activation business for AEG Presents’ Global Partnerships division, reporting to executive vice president and COO Shawn Trell.

Klein is widely recognized as a leader in the field of merging “brands with bands.”

Ruggable Taps Former Nike Executive as New CEO

Los Angeles-based Ruggable, the industry leader in washable rugs, has announced the appointment of Nicole Otto as its chief executive officer.

Otto brings over 20 years of experience leading top-tier consumer brands. She rapidly ascended through the ranks at Nike, Inc. over the course of her 16-year tenure, ultimately overseeing the North America direct-to-consumer business. Most recently, Otto served as global brand president at The North Face.

Cushman & Wakefield Names Robert Thornburgh Regional President, Southwest Region

Cushman & Wakefield has announced the appointment of Robert Thornburgh, SIOR, CCIM, FRICS as regional president of the Southwest Region, which includes Southern California, Nevada, Phoenix, Colorado, Utah and Idaho. In his new role, he will oversee Cushman & Wakefield’s strategic growth of the Southwest, including client service delivery, talent development and recruiting, while developing strong partnerships across the firm’s service lines. Thornburgh is based in the firm’s Los Angeles office.
