John B. Quinn founded Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan in 1986, growing it from four lawyers in Los Angeles to the world’s largest litigation firm with 1,200 attorneys across 36 offices in 13 countries. Under his leadership, the firm was named Chambers’ 2024 USA Commercial Litigation Law Firm of the Year and saw revenues rise from $194 million in 2005 to over $2 billion. Recognized as a Legal Legend by Lawdragon and a master strategist by American Lawyer, Quinn has led numerous highprofile victories. He currently represents Shein Technology LLC and Roadget Business PTE Ltd. in major IP litigation. He also serves as general counsel for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and is a fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers.
