Step through the shadows into the haunted heritage of the Claremont Village during the 75-minute, familyfriendly Ghost Walk on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 4-5.
Every tour will visit nine haunts, including village businesses and college destinations. The experienced, professional docents have researched and written the stories based on information and experiences of Village business owners and Claremont college personnel.
Ghostly apparitions may or may not appear.
The event is sponsored by Claremont Village Marketing Group and Girl Scout Troop 1094 from Claremont’s Sycamore School.
All monies raised from this event will benefit Troop 1094.
The tours will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, and from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5. Tickets will indicate the chosen depar ture time.
The walking tours will leave every half hour beginning at 6 p.m. from the Claremont Depot, 200 W. First St. The spirits depart promptly at the scheduled time with 15 guests per tour. Children under 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
Tickets are $15 each, must be paid with cash or personal checks made out to Girl Scout Troop 1094, and are on sale exclusively at Barbara Cheatley’s, 215 Yale Ave.
Before and after the walking tour, the Gypsy Caravan will be in the arcade at 141 Harvard Ave., near Authentix Shoes and the new addition to Hendricks Pharmacy.
There, fortune telling, tea leaves reading and other various family-friendly Gypsy activities will take place. Refreshments will be served.
