David & Margaret Youth and Family Services in La Verne will host its popular annual Holiday Open House from 3 to 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 6.
The free event features tours of the Residential Program cottages and their decorating contest, live entertainment, Santa, tree lighting, and this year, food trucks.
Guests are encouraged to bring a gift or gift certificate valued at $15 or more to help make the holidays bright for a child in need and to be entered into a raffle for one of several beautiful gift baskets.
David & Margaret Youth and Family Services serves more than 1,000 clients annually through a comprehensive range of services, including residentially based foster program for adolescent girls, shelter care, a foster family agency, adoption assistance, mental health agency, a transitional living program, schooland community-based education and mentoring programs.
In addition, the organization has a chemical program that is certified by the state of California for residents who are recovering from substance abuse. The Joan Macy School, a specialized non-public on-grounds school, serves agency clients as well as students referred from surrounding school districts.
