The Dollar General Literacy Foundation recently awarded Pacific Lifeline a $3,000 grant to support youth literacy.

“We are grateful for this support and plan to use it to purchase much-needed items for its tutoring program, including puppets and a puppet stage to act out stories that are read, two computers and a printer for homework support, lap white boards and expo markers for tutoring support, and much more,” says Carmen Hall, Pacific Lifeline’s executive director.

Pacific Lifeline is a long term transitional shelter for women and their children in Upland. Its mission is to empower women and their children facing chronic homelessness and help them achieve personal and social stability.
